1. Our Stance
GetGiftCash is built on trust. To keep payouts fast and rates high for honest sellers, we take a hard line on fraud. We combine automated detection with human review, and any attempt to deceive the Platform results in immediate action.
2. What Counts as Fraud
2.1 Gift card fraud
- Selling cards obtained by theft, phishing, or any unauthorized purchase
- Selling cards already redeemed, or partially used without disclosing it
- Misstating a card's balance, brand, or currency
- Submitting counterfeit, altered, or fabricated cards
- Selling cards bought with someone else's card or account
2.2 Account fraud
- Creating multiple accounts to dodge limits or bans
- Impersonating another person or providing a false identity
- Using stolen or compromised login credentials
2.3 Payment & system abuse
- Supplying false payout details to redirect funds
- Trying to claim payment for rejected or unverified cards
- Using bots or scripts, or exploiting bugs and pricing logic
3. How We Verify
Every card passes through layered checks before any payout:
- Balance check against the issuing brand
- Authenticity check against known fraud patterns and blacklists
- Account review for suspicious history or behavior
- Manual review for higher-value or higher-risk orders
Most checks finish within minutes. Complex cases take longer, and we may ask you for additional information or proof of ownership at any time.
4. How We Detect Fraud
- IP and geolocation analysis
- Device fingerprinting and behavioral signals
- Pattern detection across submission frequency and amounts
- Cross-referencing cards against fraud blacklists
- Real-time checks with card issuers
5. Consequences
Where fraud is detected or strongly suspected, we may:
- Suspend the account pending investigation
- Permanently close it for confirmed fraud
- Freeze and forfeit any related balance
- Reverse payouts where legally possible
- Report to law enforcement and pursue legal action
- Blacklist the device, IP, and identity across our systems
Gift card fraud is a criminal offense in most places and can carry serious penalties. We cooperate fully with law enforcement.
6. Reporting Fraud
Spotted something suspicious — including offers to buy cards at unrealistic rates, or unauthorized access to your account? Tell us right away and change your password if your account may be affected. Report fraud to fraud@getgiftcash.com. All reports are confidential.
7. Your Responsibility
Only sell cards you obtained legitimately — as genuine gifts or bought directly from authorized retailers. If a card turns out to be fraudulent, the account may be suspended regardless of claimed intent, so keep your receipts and proof of purchase.
8. Appeals
Believe your account was actioned in error? Email appeals@getgiftcash.com within 14 days with your account email and any supporting evidence. We review appeals within 5 business days, and our decision after review is final.
9. Updates
